Welcome to Klondaroo

Four days. White sand cliffs. A crystal-clear quarry lake. Peak fall color. And the best people you know — gathered around a campfire under a wide-open Missouri sky.

Klondaroo is a private micro-festival for our closest family and friends. Think campfire music under the stars, morning coffee by the lake, sunset hikes along the bluffs, lazy afternoons with lawn games and fishing, and nights lit by fair lights and good conversation.

We've reserved a cluster of campsites on the south shore of the quarry lake at Klondike Park — a former silica sand quarry turned hidden gem, with dramatic white sandstone cliffs, impossibly clear water, and trails winding up to overlooks above the Missouri River Valley. In late October, the whole park will be wrapped in peak fall foliage — reds, golds, and ambers reflecting off the lake against white sand.

This isn't a music festival. It's not a corporate retreat. It's a weekend made with love for the people who matter most. Come as you are. Stay as long as you can.

📅 When

Thursday, Oct 22 – Sunday, Oct 25, 2026. Check-in from 3:00 PM Thursday. Check-out by noon Sunday. Come for the whole thing or whatever you can swing.

📍 Where

Klondike Park, 4600 Highway 94 South, Augusta, MO 63332. ~35 miles west of St. Louis.

🚗 Getting There

From St. Louis: Take I-64 (Hwy 40) to Exit 10, then drive west on Highway 94 for about 14 miles. The park entrance is on your left. Look for our campsite signs once inside — we're sites 17–23 on the south side of the lake, near the restrooms.

⛺ Camp Setup

We have 7 campsites reserved in a row along the south shore. Six are tent sites (2 tents per site, 1–2 people per tent). One site is our community gathering area — the fire, the hangout, the heart of Klondaroo. Every site has a picnic table and fire ring. Campsites are assigned first-come, first-served — RSVP and pay early to pick your spot.

🌡️ Weather

Late October in Missouri: expect highs around 58–65°F and lows in the upper 30s to mid-40s. Nights get cold. Layer up, bring a warm sleeping bag, and pack rain gear just in case. Sunset is around 6:00 PM.

🛒 Supplies

Stock up before you arrive. Augusta (3 mi west) has wine, restaurants, and a general store — but no grocery or gas station. For full provisions, hit Washington, MO (12–15 mi south) for Walmart, gas, and anything else you need.

💰 Cost

$50 per tent. This covers your campsite reservation, firewood for the communal fire, and communal dinners on Friday and Saturday night. That's it — no hidden fees, no surprises.

🍽️ Food & Drinks

Friday & Saturday dinners are on us (included in your $50). Everything else is on you: breakfast, lunch, snacks, desserts, and all drinks — water, alcohol, coffee, whatever you need. Arriving Thursday? Bring your own dinner that night too. There are no stores at the park, so come prepared.

House Rules

A few ground rules to keep things fun, safe, and respectful — for each other and for the park.

🔇Quiet hours: 10 PM – 6 AM. This is a park rule and it's enforced. Keep it mellow after 10.
🚫No glass. Period. Cans, plastic, aluminum only. If it's glass, leave it in the car.
🔥Fires in fire rings only. We'll provide firewood for the community fire. Collecting wood in the park is prohibited.
🏊No swimming in the lake. Park rule — no exceptions. Kayaks and paddleboards are available for rent ($10/hr).
⛰️Stay off the cliffs. The quarry walls are beautiful and genuinely dangerous. No climbing, no exceptions.
🗑️Pack it in, pack it out. Leave the campsite better than you found it. Respect this place.
🐕Dogs on leash only. Pets are welcome in the campsite but not on the beach or inside any structures.
Have fun. Be kind. Look out for each other. That's the whole point.

FAQ

From St. Louis, take I-64 (Highway 40) west to Exit 10, then head west on scenic Highway 94 for about 14 miles. The park entrance is on your left. Once inside, follow signs (or our custom signs) to campsites 17–23 on the south side of the lake. Free parking is available in multiple lots.
We'll be prepared with tarps and covered areas. Late October brings about a 24% daily chance of rain, so it's possible but not likely to be a washout. Pack a good rain jacket, a tarp for your tent, and warm layers — rain or shine, we're having a great time.
Yes — reasonable coverage from major carriers. You're only 35 miles from St. Louis along Highway 94, so it's not the backcountry. That said, consider this a great excuse to unplug a little.
Yes. There are restrooms near our campsites on the south side of the lake. The park's shower house (with warm showers, flush toilets, and a camp kitchen) is also available through October 31.
Dogs are allowed on leash in the campsite area, but not on the beach or inside any park structures. Please clean up after your pup and keep them leashed at all times — it's a park rule.
The park shower house has warm push-button showers, flush toilets, and a camp kitchen with a stove, sink, and outlets. It's open through October 31 — just barely covers our dates, so take advantage of it.
Stock up before you arrive. Augusta (3 miles west) has wineries, restaurants, and a general store — but no grocery or gas station. For full provisioning, Washington, MO (12–15 miles south) has a Walmart Supercenter, gas stations, and restaurants.
Yes! The quarry lake is stocked with bluegill, largemouth bass, channel catfish, and sunfish. It's catch-and-release only, and you'll need a Missouri fishing license if you're between 16 and 64 years old.
Absolutely. The park connects directly to the Katy Trail — the longest continuous rail trail in the country. It's a flat 3-mile ride to downtown Augusta (and its wineries). Bring your bike or blades.
Nope. Come for whatever you can. The full run is Thursday through Sunday, but even a night or two is worth the trip. Just let us know your dates when you RSVP.
$50 per tent. That covers your campsite reservation, firewood for the communal fire, and communal dinners on Friday and Saturday night. Everything else is bring-your-own: all drinks (water, alcohol, coffee), breakfast, lunch, snacks, desserts, and Thursday dinner if you arrive early.
We've got it covered. The community area will have a full sound system, lights, and a generator running everything. Just bring yourself and your best karaoke energy — no need to haul your own speakers.
Nope. We're providing a generator for the community setup (sound, lights, charging). If you want to charge a phone, we'll have outlets available at the camp kitchen and at the community area. Just bring a portable battery pack for your tent.

RSVP

Let us know you're coming. It's $50 per tent, which covers your campsite reservation, firewood for the communal fire, and communal dinners on Friday and Saturday night. We need a headcount for food and campsite assignments, so don't sleep on this. Campsites are first-come, first-served — the earlier you RSVP, the sooner you pick your spot.
